Default Labels in a footer

How do you insert text in a label in the footer of a database report. I
confused.

I am confused by your confusion. In design view, just add a label control to
the footer then type text in the Caption property. Labels in reports are
pretty much static. If you want to modify what the control displays when the
report runs, will have to use text box and an expression in the ControlSource
property.
