Microsoft Binder (binder.exe) was discontinued and is only available in Microsoft Office 95, Microsoft Office
97, and Microsoft Office 2000, however, an unbind tool is available for Microsoft Office XP and Microsoft Office 2003. Microsoft Unbind (unbind.exe) will extract any Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, or Microsoft Visio document contained within and place the extracted documents in a folder selected by the user. You can then continue using your original documents in any way you see fit. If you wish to use Microsoft Binder to create Binder files, you will need to purchase and install Microsoft Office 97 or Microsoft Office 2000. Although Microsoft Office 95 does have Microsoft Binder, the Microsoft Office 97/2000/XP/2003 file format is very different from Microsoft Office 95. In other words, you will not be able to open any Microsoft Office 97/2000/XP/2003 file in Microsoft Office 95 without converting it first. Either way, you will loose features introduced in Microsoft Office 97 and later versions. office binder
I agree that the loss of Binder is a failure to the extreme by Microsoft. Whilst it is possible to use Adobe Accrobat at over £400 for the full version this is an expensive solution. Can binder from Office 97 be added into office 2003 and 2007?
