Default I need to resize a business card to 310x90 pixels - Help!

I made a business card in Publisher & want to use it as my logo, but need to
resize it to 310 X 90 pixels. I don't know what pixel size it is now, so
complete instructions will be appreciated. Thank you!

==============================
Save a copy of the business card in
the .png format and import it into an
image editor.

I'm guessing your business card is
3.5" x 2"? That would be 310 x 177
pixels so you will have to compress
(distort) the graphics or Crop (cut
off the top and bottom) of the card
in order to have a result of 310 x 90.

The following freeware can do the
task you require...

FastStone Image Viewer
http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm

Resize With FastStone
Select the file with a left click and type...
Ctrl+R...this opens the Resize/Resample
Panel.

First...uncheck the Preserve Aspect Ratio
box at the bottom of the panel.

Now..In the Pixel section...enter the size
you require and click...OK.

Double left click the file for a view of what
it looks like...press Escape to return to the
main screen.

If that distorted image is unsatisfactory...
you will have to crop so just go to...
Edit / Undo to return to the original aspect
ratio and read the following instructions.

Crop With FastStone...
To achieve a particular size without
distorting the image, you must "Crop"
a portion the size you need. Imagine
cutting out a particular size with scissors...

Select your image in FastStone and go
to...Edit / Crop Board...

On the Crop Board screen, you will see
a button below the image with three dots
on it...if you click it you will see a menu
of sizes to choose from. If the size you
need is not present, you can add it. Then
click OK. Now you can left click/drag the
corners of the selection box to frame the
portion of the image you wish to keep.
And you can reposition the box by
dragging the 4 way arrow.

When you are happy with the selection ...
click the Crop button.

Now...File / save As...choose a save
location / enter a name / click...save.

Good Luck

Options, use pixels as your measurement. Draw a rectangle around the business,
right-click, format auto shape, size tab.

Don't forget to delete the rectangle before you print.
