Default How to mobile sync shared contact folders in outlook

We are a small office running SBS 2003 and are now trying Outlook 2007 on a
few machines. We share contacts using shared folders in Exchange and keep
local copies current when offline using favourites. But we also want copies
of the shared contacts on Microsoft Moble 5 phones. Activesync automatically
syncs with the default contacts folder but we can't find any way of keeping
that folder up to date with the shared contacts folder or the favourites
contact folder.

you'll need to copy the contacts to the default folders to sync them.

Yes I understand we can manually copy them but we are talking of a couple of
thousand contacts that a continuously updated by two or three people. The
favourites system keeps a current update but it appears to be impossible to
sync from this

Hi Peter,

3 ways: You could use a "SyncTool" to synchronize the Public with the
personal folders:
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/sync.htm

You could use a "PDA" synctool (like ActiveSync) that supports also the
"Public Folder of Exchange":
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mobile.htm
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/olpda.htm

You could use a freeware program of Microsoft (Pocket Contact Synchronizer
1.2 ) to sync the public contacts with the personal contacts:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

I donīt know if this is supported by Outlook 2003 or 2007.

Maybe it helps.
