Default Outlook 2003 - cannot connect to IMAP or POP3 servers.

Re-installed Outlook 2003 on Vista, I cannot get it to connect to my Internet
mail servers. I know the servers are OK because Windows Mail connects. I
just get "server unavailable" all the time, but the settings etc. are the
same as the previous installation. How can I debug this problem?

Thanks for any guidance.

OK, I tracked this one down to a firewall issue.
