Extra lines insterted during mail merge
When I do a mail merge from Outlook 2003 to Word 2003, addresses that have
more than one address line have a blank line between the second line of the address and the city, state and zip line. For example John Doe Apt 123 567 State St Carroll, IA 51234 Attempts to reenter the addresses in Outlook and not using the address block have failed to remove the blank line. What do I need to do to fix this? |

For starters, you would need to specify in detail how you are constructing
the merge. We cannot read minds. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Denell" wrote in message ... Extra lines insterted during mail merge
I am starting from Outlook contacts, I go to tools/mail merge command and
merge all fields to a new document to create lables. The Mail merge helper that pops up says that options in effect include "suppress blank lines in address." I then use the tools/mail merge command in Works to complete the merge. When arranging the labels I have used the address block as well as individually selected the address fields I want. Both yeild the undesired empty line after the second address line. "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: For starters, you would need to specify in detail how you are constructing the merge. Perhaps the information here will tell you how to insert the address
elements so that blank lines will be suppressed. http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/insword.htm http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;q134901 -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Denell" wrote in message ... I'm having the exact same problem as Denell. The links you mention below are
no help at all. Any other suggestions?? Yes. Post in a Word group. These are Word functions, not Outlook.
