Saving Another user's Distribution List to my Outlook
Using Outlook 2000.
I have a DL from a former staff that I need to incorporate into my Contacts for a monthly mailing sent from Outlook. Please tell me there's an easy way to do this, so that I don't have to retype them all. If not, alas typing away I shall be! Thanks very much! |

A bit more information I failed to state. I have the DL in an email
attachment as a .msg. Clicking on it pulls up the list. "Littlebear" wrote: Using Outlook 2000. That won't work. You need to have the DL sent as an Outlook Item in an RTF
message if you are going to transfer it by email. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Littlebear" wrote in message ... A bit more information I failed to state. I actually found a great workaround. Saved the list as a .txt, imported into
Excel, and simply copied/pasted into a new DL. Took only a few minutes, and now I'm good to go! Thank you Russ. "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: That won't work. That will work as long as the addresses are formatted in a way that they can
be resolved by Outlook. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Littlebear" wrote in message ... I actually found a great workaround.
