Default Office 2007 Ultimate uninstall problems

I had Office 2007 Ultimate on my XP Pro PC. I had been using Excel quite a
bit, then after a reboot, all of the icons became shaded and nothing could be
done except open existing Excel files that I had already created...I could
only view the contents of files that I had just saved minutes before, but
could enter no information/data into anything. I tried to do an uninstall so
that I could try a clean install and see if the issue was fixed. Now, I
cannot even uninstall Office and have tried every method that I have come
across, from the "automatic fixes" to the lengthy manual uninstalls...I just
can't get it off my hard drive so that I can go with a clean install. Any
other suggestions?

Your trial period has run out. Time to purchase a license.
