Default BCM issues getting contacts into BCM

I am having trouble getting contacts into Accounts in BCM
and getting Contacts into Business Contacts and I can't
even get to Opportunities. I have tried to "copy all" drag
and drop into both Accounts and/or Business Contacts but
then they don't seem to "link" incoming email. Also, in
order for emails to register as a link do they have to
originate within an Account or BC?

Thanks
John

Is the problem with linking existing mail items that you received before you
created the BCM contacts? Or with linking new incoming items received
afterward?

Sue,

The problem is with linking email with BCM contacts and
getting contacts from the Contacts list into Business
Contacts and Accounts in BCVM.

Thanks for your help.

My question was about the timing. Two different procedures are involved --
one to link existing mail and one to link messages that come after you
create the contact. Which are you having problems with?

For existing mail, have you run the Business Tools | Link E-mail | Link
Existing E-mail command?

For future received messages, have you enabled the BUsiness Tools | Link
E-mail | Auto Linking feature?
