Where do you find the “P” inside a circle for “performance copyright”? I
found the © ® but not the “P”
Thank you--

Sometimes you need to open the Character Map and do some digging. Sometimes
you have to use Google. (I'd start with the first option myself - but that's
just me.)

You intrigued someone else who did not ask the question and had
no idea that the symbol existed. I see that there seems be a
very full list at
http://www.bigbaer.com/reference/cha..._reference.htm

However, in MS Word all these symbols seem to be in MS Gothic
which is not a font that I much like. Are there any other fonts
available with these characters? I note that there are many
mathematical symbols and even temperature symbols. However, I
think I will continue to use two characters rather than the
single one given by Alt+8451: C rather than ?. (I don't know
if I can post the things unless I post in Unicode :-)

I now know that I would have had to use Unicode and probably
others
will not receive them either.

It can be a problem using some unicode characters. It depends what fonts you
have on your machine and that, in turn, depends to some extent on your
operating system and other software you have installed.

I don't have MS Gothic. I do have Arial Unicode MS and Lucide Sans Unicode,
both of which have the sound recording copyright symbol and quite a wide
range of other characters.

Thanks, IMHO those two allow much more satisfactory Celsius and
Fahrenheit temperature symbols if you accept a sans serif font.
It's another little mystery, and one that misled me, that even
if you are typing in Arial, MS Word (2002) chooses MS Gothic
for the symbols :-)
