Default Changing meeting organizer to a different person

Is it possible to change the "meeting organizer" to a different
person? If not, is this a planned future enhancement?

We encounter this problem at work: an admin leaves the company, and a
new admin is hired. The new admin needs to make a change to a
standing departmental meeting, but she can't, because the old admin
is the meeting organizer. The new admin must:
1. track down one of the meeting attendees,
2. ask them to forward her the meeting request so that she can see who
attends,
3. copy and paste the names into a new meeting request and send it
out,
4. send a separate e-mail to all of the meeting attendees asking them
to physically go into their own calendars and delete the old meeting,
and
5. follow up with each individual to make sure they have followed her
instructions, because naturally if they get confused and show up at
the wrong time, she will be blamed.

This is a heinous workaround which could be avoided quite easily by
being able to change the meeting organizer in one step.

By the way, I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2002.

Jen
