Delete words from standard dictionary
I would like the spell checker to not recognise certain words. I mistype for
as fro and spell checker can't pick this up. Is it possible to delete words from the standard dictionary, or is there another way do this ? |

The spell check dictionary is not editable. You can only add words to
custom dictionaries. What you can do is to add "fro" as an AutoCorrect entry, with "for" as the replacement. To do this: On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect. Click the AutoCorrect tab. Make sure "Replace text as you type" is checked, type "fro" and its replacement, and click the Add button. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "fsa" wrote in message ... Thanks for the speedy response, Autocorrect works great.
