Changes from one computer to another
I copied a database that I have used for years. It has always worked on these
two computers. I made some minor changes to a form using Access 97 SP2. Everyhing worked fine except my date field. When I bring the database up on a different computer this field says Name$. The original database works fine on both computers. I didn't make any changes the date field and the copy works fine on the computer I used to make the changes. The computer I used to make the changes is running Win2000 The computer I'm seeing the problem is running Win98 Any ideas? |

Where does this field say (I assume) Name#? When you are in table design
mode (this IS a 'tables' newsgroup)? When you try to see a value in a control on a form? Have you checked the References on the new machine? Sometimes Access loses track of where it keeps its knitting. Try opening a code module, clicking Tools | References, and seeing if any are marked as MISSING. If so, uncheck it/them, note which ones, close/save, then re-open, re-check, and re-save. Try re-compiling after this. -- Good luck Jeff Boyce Access MVP "Tabco" wrote in message ...
