Default Hidden Contacts

I still don't understand what the problem is or why you don't understand what
I am talking about. If you open outlook select contacts, you get a list of
contacts. you can then select the tab "view" and select current view and then
select how the contacts are listed ("Phone List", "By Category", B\"By
Company", etc.). I any of the veiws selected, the hidden contacts are still
hidden.

I can't find any better way to explain it.

It's OK if you don't know the proper terms. But if you use your own terms,
at least explain what you mean by them so we can figure out what your
question is.
In your case we would need to know in what view you are seeing "several
Outlook Address Books" and what you mean by that.
The problem that most people face in this regard is in the address book view
of Outlook, which may contain several outdated references to Contacts Folder
that are no longer valid. Is that what your problem is?
If so, you would remove invalid references to Contacts Folders from the
address book view he Tools E-mail accounts View or change existing
directories or address books Outlook Address Book Change…
If your problem is something else, then state more clearly what it is. Keep
in mind that there is no separate address book in Outlook, only an address
book view of your Contacts Folders.

I too am having a similar problem: In Outlook 2003 there are several
Outlook
Address Books with contacts in each book. Many of the address books have
lost
contacts - completely gone. I can not see them in either the Folder List
or
the Contact Folder views. They were not deleted nor archived. They are
just
gone. I have seen other posts with this same problem, but not found any
answers given. Please help. And Russ, please don't slap me around for not
know the precise Outlook terms - you are supposed to help us not make us
feel
stupid. thanks

We have no idea what you mean by "contact list." There is no such term
used
in conjunction with Outlook. Do you mean your Contacts Folder? If so,
which
view? Do you mean your address book view? Do you mean something else?

Sorry did not send all info you requested. I thought I was clear. I am
using
outlook (2007) and some of the contacts do not show on the contact list
in
outlook using any of the viewing formats available. The total number of
contacts shown on the list is 79. However I have my iphone linked with
Outlook and the the list in the phone shows 99 contacts. I have done a
search
in outlook for a few of the contacts with success. They contimue to be
hidden
in the outlook list until I do a search, delete the contact and
re-enter
them
as a new contact.

Please be more specific as to what you mean by "data store".

Missing from where?
Clarify your post with a complete and accurate description of your
problem.
So far it contains none. Include your data store and number of Contact
Folders.

news I realized recently that some of my contacts are missing. I have
tried
all
types of views with the same results. I can do a search and find
them.
I
did
delete one of such contacts and reneneted it and now it shows in the
list.

The synced list in my iphone is correct - all contacts properly
shown
