Default Adding a label to an Access Chart

I'm using Access 2007. I want to add a horizontal line and a label to
my bar chart. Is there a way to just add a line or label anywhere on
my chart? I don't want to use any of the predetermined labels like x-
axis or title. I want to make my own and place it where I want.

cr113,
As long as your chart appears in the same location every time the
report is run... you can ue a normal label, and place in "to the front"
of the chart.
Same with the line object.
You can even control the location, if needed, by adjusting the label's
Top/Left, and the line's Top.

I can't get this to work. The chart always covers up the label. Maybe
I'm not "placing it in front" correctly? In design mode I highlighted
the label and right mouse clicked. Then I chose Postion/Bring to
Front. I also tried Position/Send to Back for the Chart. Neither seems
to work.

Default Adding a label to an Access Chart

cr113,
I just revisited several charts that are currently in client use,
(Access 97 and Access 2003)
and I can't account for your problem. I have labels place within the graph
area itself, as well as in the header/legend section, and all display with
no
problem.

All I can suggest is... make sure you marquis the entire chart when
"Sending to Back"
Even though it shouldn't matter... try a transparent background for
your chart.
I'm sure you checked the Visible, ForeColor, BackColor, etc.. etc... for
a problem...
