Can MS Access be queried from a web page?

Default Can MS Access be queried from a web page?

Trying to set up a web page with querying abilities to a MS Access DB. Unsure
of the interfacing capabilities. Do I need SQL? I do not want the DB to be
fully viewable from the website, embedded 1 to 2 layers.
