Default Data Access Page Trouble

Sorry for the cross post but I believe I posted in the wrong discussion group
as I didn't get any response. I am hoping someone can help me out. Thanks.

My dilemma:
I created a data access page using the wizard. I set the permissions on the
field yes to Read. I set grouping levels to False on Edits, Additions, and
Deletions.
I then linked to the database.htm through a link on Sharepoint.
So you click on the link within our internal Sharepoint site. The link works
but the problem is with my data access page - it should pull up but I get an
error message, "Data provider failed while executing a provider command."
Then another error message pops up "Record(s) cannot be read; no read
permission on 'Contracts Database' (contracts database happens to be the name
of my database and table so I have no idea what that is referencing).

Then another message I have gotten reads, "The connection string of this
page specifies an absolute path. The page may not be able to connect to the
data through the network. To connect through a network, edit the connection
string to specify a network (UNC) path."

Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot in advance!!
