Default Fax versus Broadband

Hope this isn't a stupid Q
I have always used a conventional fax, but it has recently died and I
thought I would use the fax facility in XP

I can install it ok, but I am recently on a wreless network (2 computers)
and when I install , it only gives me the otion of using my conventional
modem, which is no longer used. Does it not work with a Router?

John
