"Notify me of replies"
When I ask a question, I check the box to "notify me of replies", at the
bottom of the question form, but nothing happens. Am I misunderstanding the check box? Or do I have to do something else to be notified when someone has answered by questions? Aurora |

We have no idea. We don't know what your database looks like. I'd suggest
you ask the person who built the database what that checkbox is supposed to do. We can answer questions about ACCESS, but unless you share your database structure and code withus, we can't answer questions about your specific application. -- Rick B "Aurora" wrote in message ... It can take some time before someone answers your question. If your question is vague, it's quite possible that no one will answer it. -- Joan Wild Microsoft Access MVP |

Rick:
When I go into this MS Community section and put in a new post, I type my question. At the bottom of the screen there is a check box "Notify me of Replies". I check this box, but I do not get a message. Is there something else I have to do? Aurora "Rick B" wrote: We have no idea. We don't know what your database looks like. Joan:
I went back to check for answers and had 3 answers but I was never notified by e-mail. Any suggestions? Aurora "Joan Wild" wrote: "Aurora" wrote in message ... You can use the News feature of Outlook Express to connect to msnews.microsoft.com as the news server; the Communities webpage is NOT THE NEWSGROUP, it's only one of several tools to get to the newsgroups - and (IMHO) not the best such tool! Just to add to the comments already mentioned, I do not
think it is wise to set this option because I *believe* this will require that you post an actual e-mail address to the newsgroups which is really not a good idea. Unless of course, you enjoy getting lots of SPAM and viruses. -- Jeff Conrad Access Junkie http://home.bendbroadband.com/conrad...essjunkie.html http://www.access.qbuilt.com/html/articles.html "John Vinson" wrote in message ... That isn't the email you post with. -- Joan Wild Microsoft Access MVP |
