Default How do I move 100 contacts to outlook from a file.

I actually have over 500 contacts that I need to enter into Outlook 2000.
The are currently in a file as vcards that I downloaded from a previous copy
of Outlook 2000. How can I do this in one move. Where does contacts reside
in Outlook 2000, Could just rename and move the whole file to Outlook 2000?

Thanks,
Steve

Why would you change your Contacts to a different format if you were only
transferring the data to another installation of Outlook? Do you still have
this data in its native format? If not, you may feel free to add this
information one Contact at a time because that's the only way Outlook can
take in VCF files. Next time, use Outlook's format for transferring Outlook
data from one installation to another.

Russ,
Thanks. My computer developed a virus or something and I had to save
whatever I could any way I could or that was most expediant. I guess the
price I have to pay is to move them one at a time. This will at least give
me an opportunity to edit out names I do not need any more.

The vCard format certainly was not the most expedient. The most expedient
would be to simply use the PST file where your contacts are stored by
default.

If I were in your shoes, I'd write a program to split the large vCard file
into multipl vCard files, one per contact. It's just an ASCII text file.
You could use Notepad too, if you want, although it's more tedious.
