Applying multiple values to a single row
Thanks! -- I get what you said below, is there a way I can add this to a Form
so that multiple applications can be selected from a combo box (or something)? It seems that adding the additional table would require me to update that table after the case script gets added. What I would like is to be able to select multiple applications within the same form used for the creation of the case script. Is this posible? "Damian S" wrote: Hi binder, You need an intermediary linking table between Applications and CaseScripts, let's call it tblApplicationCaseScripts. In table tblApplicationCaseScripts you need two fields - ApplicationID and CaseScriptID, with a composite primary key consisting of those two fields. Link the ApplicationID to the Applications table, and the CaseScriptID to the CaseScripts table and Bob's your Uncle. Damian. "binder" wrote: I am creating an Access 2002 DB for Test Cases. My tables a TestCases, CaseScripts, ScriptType, and Application. What I would like to do is assign multiple application types to a case script. There will be many instances in the case script table where 1 script will be the same for 3 or more applications. Is there a way I can assign those 3 or more applications to that case script without entering the case script for each application? Thanks!! |
