Default blank fields in mail merge

Is there a way to suppress blank fields in a mail merge?
I have two address lines in my datasource but for only
some of the data. If it has nothing in that field it
prints a blank line. Ugh!

Yes, there is. Let me try to find the setting. Because you didn't say which
version you are using, I'm basing my answer on Pub 2003.

Okay, this is from the Help file:
a.. To avoid blank lines in printed documents, make sure that you click the
Don't print lines that contain only empty fields option in the Print Merge
dialog box before you click OK.
