Default resources

We have just recently implemented more Outlook user profiles for the purpose
of scheduling our conference rooms for meetings. This is now working very
well.
We also have a 4 portable projectors that are used by various employees as
loaner machines.

My question is, does anyone have a good idea of how this could be done
without creating a new profile for each projector?
I presume it would ideally be on one calendar that could be shared by
everyone.

I"m open to any and all suggestions.

Hi Dave,

My understanding of the issue is: You want to know how to access two or
mailboxes in one Outlook profile. If I have misunderstood anything, please feel
free to correct me.

Firstly, we have to create a primary Exchange mailbox account in Outlook, as you
may know, each profile supports one Exchange mailbox account. And then, we
can open other mailbox's folder in this profile, or add it as a secondary mailbox.
For the detail steps, I recommend read this article:

http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/permissions.htm

Hope the info helps.

Completely the wrong direction.

In the easiest possible terms I want a solution for several different people
around the company to be able to see what projectors (5 total) are available
for a given day and for that solution to be easy to administer.

Actually, Pat's is the correct solution. If each projector is booked =
through its own mailbox (see =
http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/skedresource.htm), the users will be =
able to check the projectors' free/busy times at the same time they =
check people's availability.=20

I suggest you open the projector's(not the primary user) calendar folder in your
current profile. Is this what you need?

If you have further concerns, please feel free to post back.

OK.
Another part to the same question.
I see in Outlook 2003 (maybe it was available before that) a new line in the
Scheduling called 'Resources'. How do we make the rooms and projectors etc.
show up as a resource and not in the list of employees?

Please note that the resource mailbox will still listed up in the Exchange address list
since it is a standard Exchange mailbox+Windows AD users.
