Default WORD 2007 Master Document

In past versions of WORD the Master Document feature was always reputed to be
seriously broken and given to hopelessly corrupting input documents. In WORD
2007 I see that it appears to be somewhat redesigned. Does this imply that
the Master Document feature has been fixed? Is it now reliable for 2007?

Thanks Much MVP's and keep up the great work.

Default WORD 2007 Master Document

There wasn't any specific work done on the Master Document's feature, but the change over to an XML based underlying document format
(.docX/.docM) and changes in general in the program to support that may also help with Master Documents when all files are in those
formats.

The Master Documents feature was, if I recall correctly, included in Word 6, to enable migration to Word from WordPerfect users.
