A2k not running Access 2003 file
Someone in my office saved an Access 2003 file down to Access 2000 format
for me to work with. I'm running A2k only on my machine. When I tried to open the file I got the message: Microsoft Access was unable to create the Database window. Please upgrade to a newer version of Microsoft Internet Explorer I click ok and the message goes away but I'm left with a blank Access window that I have to Task Manager out of. I'm running a fully updated version of Internet Explorer and a fully updated copy of Access 2000. Win2k pro is also fully updated. Any ideas? I've searched the web for this error and can't find it. Other than upgrading to Office XP or 03, what do you suppose I could do here? Thanks, Keith |

A2k not running Access 2003 file

news:ewTPBfj3AHA.1288@tkmsftngp04... In case anyone else ever suffers this problem, I just got the answer. After uninstalling Office 2k I had to manually delete teh following registry keys Select the following keys in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0 Reinstalled Office2k and we are fine again. --------------- I'm not aware of any explanation or fix. MS has suggested importing all objects into a new database. (david) "Keith G Hicks" wrote in message ... Someone in my office saved an Access 2003 file down to Access 2000 format for me to work with.
