Default "An error was encountered while trying to send text to Word...."

How can I fix this? I've reinstalled Office 2003, but still no luck. I can
copy & paste a page at a time of scanned text into Word (& other programs)
from Document Imaging, but not multiple pages. The "Send trext to Word"
command produces the error message referenced above.
