Default importing jpeg images to powerpoint

i have canon digital camera and use digital photo professional, photo studio
5.5 and zoom browser ex. images may be exported in jpeg, bmp, tif formats.
power point will not accept these formats for import. How can I import my
images to powerpoint 2000 /

PowerPoint handles all those image types. What kind of error message are you
receiving?

PowerPoint will accept pictures in all of those formats.
From its main menu bar, choose Insert, Picture, From File and pick the file
you'd like to add.

Does that work? If not, what happens instead? Error messages, smoke, molten
pixels ...?
