I have a parameter query. The parameter query dialogue
box works fine for our needs, however when the query is
run it only searchs the fisrt word in the field not all
the words. How can I force my query to look through the
whole field. The field name is summary and it is a text
field.

Like "*" &[your parameter dialog] &"*"
