Default Access crashes saving modified form

Read some posts about the problem with service pack 3 and needing a hotfix.
How can I determine what version the mdb is now? It was created in 97. How
can I determine what service pack I'm using?

At work I'm using 2007 and have no problems. At home I have 2003 and don't
know what service pack. Access crashes and apologizes for "the inconvenience"
after I modify a form.

Service pack 3 (SP3), if thats the case install the hotfix for that service
pack.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945674

Help about microsoft access office will tell you the service pack you have
loaded

Just some of the text from the Hotfix blurb, I hope this sorts out your
problems? Please repost if you still have issues.

This hotfix package also fixes the following issues that were not previously
documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Access 2003 may close unexpectedly when you do one of the following:
You open a table that contains a LOOKUP field. The table uses the LOOKUP
field to look up data in a table that contains more than 30 fields.

You open a form that contains a combo box that looks up data in a table that
contains more than 30 fields.

Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Office Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience.

When you view the data in the error report, the report contains an error
signature that resembles the following error signatu

Collapse this tableExpand this table
Application name Application version Module name Module version Offset
Msaccess.exe 11.0.8166.0 Ntdll.dll 5.2.3790.3959 45d70ad8

Open your database and look at the Help menu item. Choose:

Help About

and the version of Access with the SP version is on that form.

There are hotfixes for specific problems that occur with Access 2003 SP3. Go
to the Knowledge Base site at Microsoft and hunt down your version:

Yes SP3 is Access 2003 or as far as I know is the latest SP for 2003 and the
hotfix mentioned is only for that version, your home PC if it is at SP3.

For access 2007, I am not sure if there is a service pack for that yet. I
will look when I log onto the company laptop and post back for the help but
that will be tomorrow.

Kindest regards

My laptop with Office 2007 is currently at a client's site, so I won't have
access to it until Wednesday.
