Default Places for museum items

Hi,
I am trying to design a new db for a local museum where the items are placed
in different houses, rooms, pieces of furniture and drawers. First I thought
I could use look up tables in cascade but how to get the information about
the detailed places into a report? I guess there are are, better, ways of
accomplishing this. The report should be able to tell me where to find a
certain item (look up report) or what is expected to be found in drawer D of
chest C in room B of house A (inventory reports). I understand there will be
a lot of tables involved but how to relate them?
I would also appreciate any hints about the design of the forms required.
Thanks in advance.
Ove
