why cant i print
I can print from notepad but not from word. i use office xp, windows xp. have
tried detect and repair, cant uninstall coz i no longer have 0ffice cd

Try "unchecking" Background Printing in Word, Tools, Options.

unchecked but still no joy, have updated drivers from epson , changed usb
