open office now default, how do I make ms office default
I had downloaded Open Office in order to use the power point type
presentation. I had ms office 2000 sbe. I bought ms office 2003 student and teacher edition, but documents still open in open office format, unless I open Word first. How do I make MS Office 2003 my default office suite, and if I need to uninstall open office to do so will I lose anything saved by that program over the last 6 months? |

Try re-registering Word by clicking on Start | Run, and in the Open box,
type: winword.exe /r Nothing will appear to happen, but that's okay. Close the Run dialog box. Reboot. Then try to open a Word document. Does it open in Office 2003?
