Sending Email To A Group
Another suggestion:
keep the number of addresses in the group to less than 25 (or contact your ISP and se if they have limit on the number of addresses on one email). -- Ron Sommer "Kuay Tim" wrote in message ... Hi Steve, Start by creating a new group entry in the address book. Add the desired addresses and select this group entry in a new message To, Cc, or Bcc line. This is the same as selecting an individual entry. It is often best to use the Bcc line to protect the privacy of anyone in the group who may not want to share their address with someone else in the group. To see the Bcc line in a message window select All Headers from the View menu of a new message. One important suggestion is to create a new entry in the address book using your e-mail address. Give this a friendly name that reflects the group. Use this entry for the To line. -- Tim K. aka Kuay Tim MVP - (IE/OE) Lynnwood, WA * "Steve" wrote in message nk.net... 1. How do I group multiple email addresses so I can send an email to everyone in the group? 2. How do I then select the group so that everyone appears in the To: line or CC: line? Thanks! Steve |

I have an address group that numbers 110 addressees, but my provider imposes
a limit of 100. Is there any easy way of breaking this group into two groups of approx equal numbers without having to do a lot of retyping? Of course, I could always retype, say, 15 of them into a new group, then delete those from the larger group, bringing it down under the 100 limit. I'd prefer, however, to end up with two groups of nearly the same size. -- Bob "Ron Sommer" wrote: Another suggestion: keep the number of addresses in the group to less than 25 (or contact your ISP and se if they have limit on the number of addresses on one email). -- Ron Sommer "Kuay Tim" wrote in message ... Are all these addresses the same as in your address book? If so,
create a new group. Click Select Members and go about halfway down the list. Click on an address, then hold Ctrl + Shift and tap End. Click Select. This puts the bottom half of the addresses in the new group and you can go to the original group and delete those addresses. I hope this gave you some ideas if it was not what you wanted. -- Bruce Hagen ~IB-CA~ "Bob Fliegel" wrote in message ... Thanks. I wish it were that easy. The 110 addressees that I want to split
into two groups are scattered among the 371 addresees that comprise my main address book, so I can't perform the steps you suggest. Think I'll just pick about 20 of them and put them into a new group, then delete those 20 from the original group. -- Bob "Bruce Hagen" wrote: Are all these addresses the same as in your address book? This isn't too hard to do.
Open the Address Book. View, check Folders and Groups. Left click on your Identity (this highlights it). Click on the + sign by your Identity. New, Group, name it and click OK. Left click on your large Group in the Folders pane (this displays the names in the group in the right pane). Highlight a middle name. Shift + End. Right click on highlighted names, Copy. Right click on new group name, Paste. Highlight the same names in the large group, Delete. -- Ron Sommer "Bob Fliegel" wrote in message ... Thanks. I wish it were that easy.
