Another Table Conversion question
Hi,
I have a word document that has a huge table on it that I would like to get into an Access Database. Using Excel as a go between seems like it should work. I have tried just copy and paste into Excel, but for some reason, it doesn't go properly. The table consists of 3 columns. Command Syntax Description The Command and Syntax columns are fairly short length data, maybe 30 or 40 characters or less. The description column has some with no data, up to some with what I'd estimate maybe 1.5k - 2k characters. I've tried to just copy/paste of a single row for testing as well. What I see in Excel is the first 2 columns inport properly, it seems, but the third column seems to get broken into several vertical cells, like there's a limit to the field length. Unfortunatly, this document was converted from WordPerfect. Some of the longer Decsription fields also have non-printable characters. Short of either retyping or cut & pasting 100's of times, any suggestions ? Thanks, DanS |
