Default Sync Outlook 07 with Hotmail using Connector

Hi. Sorry if its been asked before but I've trawled through a lot of the
posts here and cant find an answer to my questions which a

When using Outlook 2007 and Connector 12.1 the mail only syncs with the
Inbox of the Hotmail account. There are about 8 other folders outside the
Inbox which contain mail that has been moved from the Inbox to them. These
folders appear in Outlook but are empty.

1. Is Connector supposed to sync with all folders on the Hotmail account?
2. If not, what is the best method of syncing these folders?
3. I want to leave all messages on the Hotmail server. Will using Connector
facilitate this?

1) Yes, upon first configuring the account, a folder list is created and
after the default folders have been synced to your machine, the Outlook
Connector also starts syncing your personally created folders.

2) They should sync already. If not, you could try renaming the ost-file for
the Outlook Connector account to .old when Outlook is closed. When you now
start Outlook again, it will force a resync. If that doesn't work, try
removing the account from Outlook completely, restart Outlook and add the
account again.

3) Yes, the Outlook Connector is a 2-way sync which means that not only are
all the messages synced to your computer, all changes that you make on your
computer are also synced back to the server.

Default Sync Outlook 07 with Hotmail using Connector

I'm glad to see that this is supported, but I've found that this doesn't seem
to work correctly. I check my account using the Outlook Connector on my work
PC as well as my home PC. I've found that while changes I make to the inbox
folder are replicated on both PCs, items I copy out of the inbox to
subfolders are NOT replicated on the other PC (and in some cases not to the
webmail interface either). Items copied to secondary folders on one PC
simply remain in that subfolder on that PC, meaning that my secondary folders
are incomplete in both locations. Is there a trick to making the sync happen
correctly on both sides? I noticed just now that I finally got one side to
completely sync with server changes after I exported my entire hotmail store
to a PST for backup in outlook and then moved an item to a subfolder from the
webmail interface. I'm not sure which of these two did the trick, but after
doing that and then a "Send/Receive" from Outlook, I literally saw over a
thousand changes uploading in the Connector status bar in outlook. ???

Default Sync Outlook 07 with Hotmail using Connector

Can this same thing be accomplished for other outlook "webmail" accounts?

The only "webmail" account Outlook supports in Live Mail. All other "webmail"
accounts are accessed via POP or IMAP.
