Default Publisher 2000 Problem

I have a document saved on disc from Publisher 2000.

I now use Publisher 2002. However, when I tried to open
my document that was created in 2000...it tells me that
my newer version will not open the older 2000 version.

How can I retrieve my important document????

THANKS!!!!!

Ditch NAV. Install AVG (www.grisoft.com). Problem solved.

Disable "script blocking" in Norton, disable "Office Plug-ins" in Norton options.

Thanks for responding.

1. I don't have Norton
2. I made a mistake. I have Pub 2000 and the document
is in Pub 1998.

Is there still any hope to be able to at least read this
document? It says read-only, but it still won't open the
document?

thanks again!

Deb -

Specifically what does the error message say? I can promise you it does not
say "newer version will not open..." The wording can make a difference.

JOANN:

It says "Publisher cannot open files from a different
version".

Any suggestions? I've already copied the file to my hard
drive, clicked on properties, unclicked read-only....and
still nothing! still keep getting this message?

That could mean that the document is a Pub 2002 or 2003 file. Did you create
the file? If not, double check the version with the person who created it.

If you can't do that, you may send it to me and I will save it as a Pub 2000
for you. Send it to jl dot paules at gmail dot com.

Publisher 98. I now have Publisher 2000 and want to

tells me it can't open a different version.

I will try to email to you and GREATLY appreciate any
help you can offer.

I need this info!!!!!
