Default I would like an email client, please.

An email client is to send and receive email. I suppose there isn't much you
can do to improve that so you add a lot of things that most will not use and
the things that we DO use, you either move around or take away all together.
I have used Outlook for many, many years and have upgraded right alohg the
path but this time I'm through. You have made the basic functions so
difficult that it is no longer useful. I have 6 email accounts and I have
them all together. Not in 2010, nope. the conversation mode is a major pain
in the ass, had to figure out how to turn that off. The rest is just
wasteful. I hate the ribbon, have since 2007 but now it's taken over
Outlook. Nice. I'm uninstalling after the this month of aggravation and
will be going back to 2007 since it's at least functional. I'm also going to
try out a few other email clients because frankly, I'm not wasting my money
on another microsoft Office product. You've finally lost me. Oh, and my
company as well. We're done. "Lets make it pretty!", I don't need pretty,
I need it to work and work logically.

Where would we be if cell phone makers had a "just place and receive phone
calls" mentality?

I, for one, would be exactly where I am today. I, by choice, have a cell
phone whose only ability is to place and receive phone calls. Imagine that!

An email client is to send and receive email.

So, install and use one. There are many commercial or free mail clients you
can obtain and use if you prefer a simpler experience.
