Default Format Table Cell

As I key in a lot of numbers in the table cells, how can I format the cells
to automatically show comma for thousands ie 11,000,000 and a dash for zero,
ie - when I type in numbers without the comma.

Thanks

Or insert the data into an excel sheet, with the required formatting, then copy & paste the data into Word as a table.
