Default Address book autofill from Contacts

When I add a contact, the email address automatically is entered into my
address book. Is there a way to turn this feature off? I am using outlook
2007 on windows xp.

No, since the address book is really just another view of the Contacts
folder.

Either don't include an email address (put it ion notes instead) or put the
contact in a different contacts folder - one that is not enabled as an
address book.

Either don't add the mail address to the contact record or put the contact
record in a contact folder that you have not enabled as an address book.

The only point to the address book view is to show you contacts that have
e-mail addresses. There's no way to have a contact that does not have an
e-mail address appear in the address book view.
