Address book autofill from Contacts
When I add a contact, the email address automatically is entered into my
address book. Is there a way to turn this feature off? I am using outlook 2007 on windows xp. |

Address book autofill from Contacts
No, since the address book is really just another view of the Contacts
folder. "JL" wrote in message ... When I add a contact, the email address automatically is entered into my address book. Is there a way to turn this feature off? I am using outlook 2007 on windows xp. |

Address book autofill from Contacts
Either don't include an email address (put it ion notes instead) or put the
contact in a different contacts folder - one that is not enabled as an address book. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "JL" wrote in message ... Either don't add the mail address to the contact record or put the contact record in a contact folder that you have not enabled as an address book. The only point to the address book view is to show you contacts that have e-mail addresses. There's no way to have a contact that does not have an e-mail address appear in the address book view. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
