Link Table to Sections
I have a huge document with sections (7.1, 7.1.2, etc) and there's a table in
the document that reference the sections and is has hyperlinks to bring you to the sections. Is there any way to a link the table to the text so if you remove say section 7.1.2 from the document, it is removed from the table as well and like the numbering, everything changes (7.1.3 becomes 7.1.2) Thanks, Sue |

Use a table of contents and update it.

Actually the document already has a TOC. I think I figured it out.
I used Insert-References-Cross-Reference and just like TOC, you can 'update field' and will change. "Jezebel" wrote: Use a table of contents and update it. "SusaBella" wrote in message ... You can have any number of TOCs in the one document, each with their own TC
fields and target range. "SusaBella" wrote in message ... Actually the document already has a TOC. I think I figured it out.
