Default (C) and copyright symbol

When I enter (C) into a cell, it appears as the copyright symbol. I don't
want the copyright symbol, I just want it to be (C) ! How can I stop
this... at the moment I am putting a space in front of the brackets, but
would prefer not to have to do that.

Default (C) and copyright symbol

1) Change the setting in AutoCorrect
or
2) Right after you get the copyright symbol, use CTL+Z (Undo)
best wishes

Default (C) and copyright symbol

Hi Bernard,

Actually that trick works in Word but not in Excel.

In Excel type (C) spacebar this will convert the entry to a copyright. Now
press Ctrl+Z and Enter.

In 2003: You can eliminate the Auto Correct action by choose Tools, Auto
Correct Options and selecting and deleting the (c).

In 2007: Choose Office Button, Excel Options, Proofing, AutoCorrect Options
and select the (c) and Delete it.

If this helps, please click the Yes button

Cheers,
Shane Devenshire
