Cannot open "contacts" folder

I have Office and Outlook 2007 which has worked fine until today. I can
access my email and calander, buy cannot open my "contacts". The message is
"Cannot Display Folder" It says the folder is in use and cannot be accessed.
No other program is accessing this folder. I restarted my computer (Windows
7) four times per suggestions. I still cannot access my contacts. Thanks for
your help.

What add-ins are you running?
Have you repaired your data file?

Did you try resetting the view?
