Default Search contacts in Outlook 2007

lHello,

I am using Outlook 2007, based on Microsoft Exchange 2007.

I am trying to search for someone in Organization, called Abdouley something.

If I type 'Ab' in the Outlook 2007 contacts searchbox, and click Enter, I
recive irrelevant names from my contact list, such as ,
which has no Ab at her name at all.

I have tryied to define the organization contacts as default (CTRL+Shift+B
- Tools - Options - Show this address list first My organization list) -
but I still receive irrelevant names.

What can I do in order to get rid of this irrelevant search results?

Regrads,
Uriel

Contacts searchbox?
To which search method are you referring?
Have you tried Advanced Find?

Contact searchbox - is located in the main toolbar, on the right (one icon
left to the help icon).

The advanced find works well, but the simple search pupulates wrong contact.

How to resolve this?

Simple. Use Advanced Find. That's what the rest of us do.

Or use Lookeen like I do. It's an Outlook add-in that comes with a
powerful search engine, and is as easy to use as the advance/instant.

I'm sure Lookeen is a fine product. But users should have all the search
capabilities they need within Outlook if they just learn how to use them.
When using Instant Search (which I'm still guessing is what the OP means),
you're subject to the whims of the indexing algorithm. Instant Search can be
refined by expanding the Query options, noticing which fields are actually
indexed, and confining the search to the relevant field. If that fails,
Advanced Find will provide further refinement (and doesn't use Instant
Search).
