Default phone to non-exchange contacts/calendar sync

I've used Outlook (non-exchange) since it was new and am using 2007 now. I
simply do not want to change

I'd like to find a process wherein I can sync my phone with OL without the
wire. I have a gmail account and have looked at the premium (with their
sync) subscription, but wondered if this is the a good way to go. I
understand that MS is with hotmail and that this may work better, but I don't
like change

Any suggestions or comments?

TIA

What phone do you have? That will control your over-the-air sync
capabilities. Or use bluetooth (no wire!) and your phone's sync software.
