Is there an upgrade for Visio 2002 that I can use to read Visio 200x.

Install the trial edition of a new version and it can read newer versions as
well as old

It would be rather unusual software that could open files from a more recent version (yes,
I know some software can do so). Visio 2003/2007/2010 can save files in Visio 2000/2002
format so you can either get a copy of a later version or ask someone with a ater version
to save the file in Visio 2002 format for you. You may lose some data that is specific to
the newer version though and some types of diagram are not backwards compatible.
