Office 97 is my 'Starter' Suite, meaning it is the most recent Full Pri$e version from which I must start since 2 subsequents are only upgrades. Just toward the end of installation ((87%) of Office '97 on WinXP SP1 + All Current Critical Upddates, their was a catastrophic failure that ended the install. I manually copied C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\*.* from a Backup of Office '97, and everything was hunkdory except that in Excel, drop-down menus don't drop properly. I'll figure out how to fix that later. Anyway, it worked well enough to upgrade to Office 2k Pro. It is highly recommended that you download and save and implement all appropriate Office updates before you open any Office progs. -- di'Geratus Max ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via http://www.mcse.ms ------------------------------------------------------------------------ View this thread: http://www.mcse.ms/message892133.html |

Excel 97
Actually if you have 97 and upgraded from that to 2000 and then from that t0 XP,
you dont have to install 97, just put the disk in the drive when your upgrade looks for the presence of an earlier software.
