Default Top fold cards

I have to print a lot of place cards, double sided and my boss likes the top fold note cards that are 5 1/2 X 4 1/2 Avery 3268. I have gone into the template and tried to set it up but whenever I try to print I get 3 pages. How can I create it all on one page. There are two top fold cards to a page.
Thanks for all and any suggestions.

Start with a blank page and position the text frames to correspond with the
card. No template is needed.

Avery has a blank template for your cards, portrait or landscape.
http://tinyurl.com/4j3nv

It is in Word, but you can paste it into Publisher.

It looked great until I tried to do a mail merge and realized that all 4 cards get the same name. I need to do one name per table top doublesided. In other words I need one name twice not four times.
I have about 800 names to input and to do it manually is just too timeconsuming
Thanks

Thanks for the advice. It looked great until I did a mail merge, I need only one name on the front and back and then another name on the next card. This way I get the same name on both cards. It needs to be set up as 2 separate pages on printed on one page.

Which version of Publisher are you using!!!

How you do people expect proper assistance when you cannot even post the
Publisher version.

This is still an easy thing to fix. Instead of creating four cards to a
sheet, change the page size to that of a single card. Then when you get
ready to print, change the print options so that you are printing multiple
sheets per page. The procedure to do this varies a little between versions
so the wording I used may not actually apply to the version you have.
However, if you can get through mail merge this is an easy task.

I use Publisher 2003, and have downloaded the Avery template into Word. When I do a mail merge I get the name side by side on both cards, and not on the front of and back as I need to. The second name goes on the back part of the card. I don't know what extra field if any needs to be input in order to get the first name on the same card.

Default Top fold cards

In page setup
Select custom, input 3.25 width...4.5 height Click, Change Copies Per Sheet, change
side margin to 4.75, top margin to 0.5. Horizontal Gap to 0.5, vertical gap to 1.0.
This will put one card on your screen. Adjust the margins in the arrange menu, select
two rows, this will give you a center line.
On the bottom half put the merge preference in the text box. Do the same on the top
half, only rotate it 180 degrees.
Should work...
