I am working in a 8 page workbook and would like to add a footer that will

What do you consider as a "8 pages"?
8 pages from one worksheet or 8 worksheets? If the former, a simple footer setup will place the footer on all 8 pages. If the latter........................... To add a footer to 8 worksheets, select all 8 sheets using SHIFT + Click. Set your footer on the active sheet and will be done to all. Ungroup the sheets when done.
