Hi,
1) What does 'Encoding' my database mean & do?? (in the tools, security menu)

2) What is an MDE file, and why would i need to make my db an MDE file??

It encrypts the data so that it cannot be viewed with a simple file editor.
Means nothing if the file is opened in Access.

2) What is an MDE file, and why would i need to make my db an MDE
file??


Prevents viewing of VBA code or changing the design of VBA code or any
code-based objects (forms, reports, modules).
