Default Combo changes to transparent when selected

Access 2007 form. I have a combo with a white background on a blue form.
The back style is set to normal, not transparent. However, when a selection
is made with the combo the background turns transparent and the blue shows
through. I used the format painter from a text field to color and format
the font for this combo, but the text field does not change color when there
is data in it. What property is effecting this so I can prevent it?

Set a color for the Alternate Row property of the detail section of the
form.

Jeanette,

I have this exact same problem.

I cannot find a property called Alternate Row so I've set a colour for the
Alternative Back Colour however, this doesn't work.

Can you please clarify.

Hi Iain,
the alternate row is a property of the detail section of a form in A2007.
It is not available in earlier versions of Access.

I assume you meant that Alternate Back Colour property should be set to
Alternate Row, which is what I've done and it seems to work.

Thanks for clarifying.
